Who we are

A licensed Chinese operator, not an overseas reseller

China Comfort Travel Group Jiangxi Co., Ltd. — CCT Jiangxi — was established in 1995 and is the group's operating company in Jiangxi Province. The group itself was founded in Beijing in 1984 and holds a vice-chairman seat in the China Association of Travel Services.

We hold licenses for inbound, domestic and outbound travel, and we run the trips ourselves. That means the guide who meets you at the airport works for us, the vehicle is ours, and the company answerable for your trip is registered in Nanchang with a public credit record you can check.

Our business covers inbound travel, domestic travel, outbound travel, study tours, cruise vacations, heritage and red tourism programs, visa services, air ticketing, custom travel, corporate travel and conference services.

Scale

We operate more than 140 service points across Jiangxi, with three holding subsidiaries and eight branches. Between us we receive and send on the order of 300,000 travelers a year, with annual turnover consistently in the hundreds of millions of yuan. Large-volume group handling is not an occasional job for us — it is our normal working week.

Where we can receive you

Our own offices and service points are concentrated in Jiangxi, but our reception capability is not. Through China Comfort Travel Group we draw on more than 300 subsidiaries and branches nationwide, so we can host your guests in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Harbin, Yunnan or the far west just as readily as we can at home.

For an overseas buyer that national reach is the point: one contract, one company answerable for the whole journey, and one point of contact from the first inquiry to the final airport transfer — not half a trip handed to strangers in another province.

Resources we own

Thirty years of operation has built relationships across the industry: national travel partners, airlines, hotels, coach and cruise operators, scenic areas and tourism authorities. More importantly, we hold assets in our home province:

  • Jinggangshan Zhuxuan Hotel — four-star standard, wholly owned or controlled by us
  • Jinggangshan Banmufangtang Resort — five-star standard, wholly owned or controlled by us

We were also among the first travel companies in Jiangxi to run red tourism and heritage training programs, which is why groups with a historical or educational focus come to us rather than to a generalist agency.

What we do beyond selling tours

Over thirty years our core business has expanded from conventional group tours into what we call tourism plus — tourism with team building, training, study programs, leisure travel and family activities. It is the same infrastructure, used more precisely.

Our team

Our people are career travel professionals, and we hold to a simple operating principle: make partners comfortable, make travelers satisfied. We make three standing commitments to clients — on quality, on service and on value — and we would rather turn down a booking than break them.

Our story on film

Forty years of China Comfort Travel Group

The group's own history film, made for its fortieth year in 2024: how a single Beijing travel office opened in 1984 grew into a national network, and where the Jiangxi company you are writing to fits into it. Narration and captions are in Chinese — the pages on this site cover the same ground in English.

Questions

Before you inquire

All FAQs
How far in advance should I book?

For most itineraries, two to four months ahead is comfortable. Book earlier for: travel during Chinese New Year (usually late January to mid-February), the first week of October, May Day, and July to August school holidays; permits for Tibet and the Mogao Grottoes at Dunhuang; and specific five-star hotels in peak season.

Short-notice travel is often possible — we hold allocations in our own hotels in Jinggangshan and work with long-standing partners elsewhere, so ask even if your dates are close.

Can you customize an itinerary?

That is most of what we do. Send us your dates, the cities you want, your hotel preference, your pace and anything you particularly care about — a specific dish, a craft, a mountain, a family connection — and we will design a route around it.

Our Tailor-Made page has a short form, or you can simply email us. You will get a costed proposal, normally within one business day, and we revise it until it is right.

Do you arrange flights and travel insurance?

We arrange all domestic flights, high-speed rail tickets and transfers inside China, and we can quote international flights through our group's ticketing desk. Travel insurance must be taken out in your own country; we can advise on the cover a China trip needs.

How much walking will there be?

Every itinerary page shows a difficulty rating. Most of our city itineraries are rated Easy, meaning two to four kilometers of walking a day on paved ground. Mountain programs such as Zhangjiajie and the Longji rice terraces involve stairs and can be more demanding.

We can arrange wheelchairs, walking sticks, shorter routes and rest days on request — just tell us about mobility issues when you inquire.

Will my guide speak good English?

Your guide will be a licensed English-speaking guide, selected for your itinerary rather than assigned by rotation. For specialist interests — archaeology, imperial history, tea, photography, birdwatching — tell us and we will match a guide with that background.

We can also arrange French, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Russian-speaking guides in the main cities with reasonable notice.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher-style, gluten-free and allergy requirements are all manageable, and we brief every restaurant in advance. Chinese regional cooking is more adaptable than most visitors expect, and our guides are used to handling this.

If you have a serious allergy, tell us in your inquiry and we will build a written dining brief and pass it to each guide and hotel along the route.

Is China safe and easy to travel in?

China has one of the lowest street-crime rates of any major travel destination, and public transport, hotels and tourist sites are consistently well run. The practical frictions are usually language and payment rather than safety.

We cover both: your guide handles communication, and we brief you before departure on setting up Alipay or WeChat Pay with an international card so you can pay by QR code anywhere, including street stalls.

What is included in the price?

Every itinerary page lists its inclusions and exclusions in full. As a rule, our prices include accommodation with breakfast, private transport, English-speaking guides, entrance fees, and the flights or trains shown in the itinerary. International flights, visa fees, travel insurance, gratuities and personal spending are normally excluded.

Your final quote is fixed in writing before you pay a deposit. There are no hidden surcharges added after arrival.
