Safety, insurance, and how you pay us

Two questions any careful traveler asks before sending money to an agency in another country: who exactly am I paying, and what happens if something goes wrong on the trip? These are our answers, in enough detail to check.

Licensed Chinese travel agency Payments to the corporate account Insurance on every booking Written contract before payment
The short version

Four things that stand between you and a bad experience

None of them is unusual for a licensed Chinese agency — but all four are worth checking before you pay a deposit to anyone.

You pay the company, not a person

Deposits and balances go to the corporate bank account of China Comfort Travel Group Jiangxi Co., Ltd., and you get a formal Chinese tax invoice. We never ask for a transfer to a private or personal account.

A written travel contract

Your trip is confirmed on the standard travel contract form issued by the Chinese tourism authority, signed before the deposit is due. What is included, what is not, and the no-forced-shopping clause are all in it.

Insurance on every booking — two policies

We carry the travel agency liability insurance Chinese law requires, and we take out travel accident insurance for every traveler named on the booking. The accident policy is issued in each traveler's own name, not as a group certificate.

An operator you can look up

A real Chinese legal entity with a public credit record and a travel agency permit. See the documents and how to verify them.

What happens, in order, from your first email to departure

  1. You send your dates and party size

Nothing is payable at this stage, and nothing is committed. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.

  2. We send a written quotation

A day-by-day plan with a fixed price, the inclusions and the exclusions in writing. Still nothing to pay — change as much as you like.

  3. We send the contract, the invoice and the account details

The travel contract goes out for your approval together with the invoice, the bank account in the company's name, and the insurance details.

  4. You pay the deposit, we book

Once the deposit clears, your hotels, trains, guides and vehicles are confirmed. We send confirmation of each booking as it is made.

  5. Balance before arrival, documents in hand

You pay the balance on the schedule in your quotation, and you arrive holding the contract, the invoice and the insurance certificate for your group.

Guard against payment fraud. Our bank details are sent once, from our own email address, and they do not change. If you ever receive a message saying our account has changed, treat it as a fraud attempt: stop, and call +86 151 7000 2075 or write to ideonjjl998@gmail.com to confirm before sending anything.

Insurance

What is insured, and what you should still arrange yourself

Every booking carries two policies, and they are not the same thing. One is the travel agency liability insurance we hold as a licensed Chinese agency; it is ours. The other is travel accident insurance taken out in the name of each traveler, as an individual policy — not a group certificate you are merely listed on. You get both, and you get the documents for both.

Agency liability insurance

Chinese law requires every licensed travel agency to hold travel agency liability insurance (旅行社责任保险). It responds when injury or loss happens because of a fault in the way we arranged or ran your trip. It is carried by us, not by you, and it is in force for every booking we accept.

Travel accident insurance, per traveler

On top of the statutory cover, we take out travel accident insurance for each traveler named on the booking, for the dates of the trip. It covers accidental injury and the medical treatment that follows during the trip.

The policy is issued in your own name, under your own policy number, for your own travel dates — not a group policy that merely lists you among other passengers. That distinction matters when you claim: an individual policy is yours to claim on directly, and it travels with your name rather than with a manifest held by someone else.

What this does not cover

  • Your international flights, unless your quotation says we booked them.
  • Medical conditions that existed before the trip and were not declared and accepted.
  • Losses that come from something outside our control — a canceled airline, a closed site, extreme weather.
  • Anything you book yourself, including optional activities bought directly from a third party on the day.

Please still hold your own travel medical policy. The accident cover we arrange is a baseline for the trip itself. For evacuation, repatriation and treatment of anything you already live with, a policy bought at home gives you far wider protection. We will tell you exactly what our policy does and does not cover before you pay, so you can decide what to add.

If you need to claim, tell us first — we hold the policy documents and the local contacts, and we will deal with the insurer for you while you get on with the trip or with getting home.

On the road

How the days themselves are run

  • Vetted vehicles and drivers. We use vehicles with commercial passenger insurance and drivers who hold the right license for that vehicle. We do not hand guests the keys to a rental car and call it a private tour.
  • Guides who are licensed and known to us. Guides are licensed through the local tourism authority. We work with the same people season after season rather than whoever is free that morning.
  • One number that reaches your own team. Your arrival pack carries the mobile number of the team that arranged your trip, so you speak to the people who built it.
  • Medical needs planned in advance. Tell us about allergies, medication, mobility or dietary requirements and we plan around them. Guides know the hospitals and clinics in each city that treat international patients.
  • Altitude, heat and long walking days flagged. Where an itinerary involves altitude, long days on foot or rough ground, it is written on the itinerary page rather than left to the day.
  • Weather and advisories checked before departure. If a route becomes unsafe we re-plan it — changing the order of the days rather than pushing on regardless.

Want it in writing before you decide?

Ask us for the license scan, a specimen contract and the insurance wording. We will send all three, whether or not you book with us.
